Sensitive Skin 101: Build a Routine That Soothes
The telltale signs of sensitive skin and a gentle routine that calms instead of strips — for you and the baby.

Sensitive skin isn't a diagnosis — it's a pattern: stinging with new products, redness after hot showers, tightness an hour after cleansing.
The fix is almost always subtraction. Strip the routine down to a gentle cleanser, a plain moisturizer, and sunscreen. Add nothing else for two weeks.
Look for short ingredient lists, fragrance-free formulas, and proven soothers: colloidal oatmeal, glycerin, shea butter, and ceramides. Skip alcohol-heavy toners and essential-oil everything.
Wash with lukewarm — not hot — water, and moisturize within three minutes of toweling off, while skin is still damp. That one habit does more than any expensive serum.
Patch-test everything new on the inner forearm for a few days before it goes near the face — yours or the baby's.
And be patient: a calm routine is boring by design. Boring, repeated daily, is what actually repairs the skin barrier.
